Everyone can use solar panels to produce clean, renewable energy. Two main forms of solar cells are; “solar electricity panels” (to generate electricity for our homes) and “solar hot water panels” (to heat the water). Most of you would be more or less familiar with the second type.
New and more efficient solar panel designs are encouraging the use of PV power instead of fossil fuels. It will take time for the heavy industry to shift their energy consumption, yet the technical properties and user friendliness of PV panels make it possible to be used in individual houses (which in sum accounts for a great deal of gross energy consumption).
Spain stills seems to be the hub for solar energy. Sun Power and Atersa are among the major installers and suppliers of PV panels:
- Sun Power – The parent company of Sun Power is a state of the art, high-tech company which has links with the Australian Melbourne Universities “New Energy Source Centre”. Sun Power provide; water heaters, pool heaters and other solar energy products.
- Atersa – This company was founded in 1979, and focuses on the design, and production solar modules, cells and electronic equipment for photovoltaic applications.
